Ephraim Bee Festival 2018
About the Festival
The First Annual Ephraim Bee Festival in 2018 was held June 23rd 2018 and celebrated the man once known as the Ugliest Man in West Virginia, Ephraim Bee. Without Ephraim Bee Doddridge County would not have existed. The Festival involved many vendors and crafts, honey taste testing, a 5k run, and was set to have a Pageant plus Stroller and Wagon Parade.
However...
Turnout was great, unfortunately the Stroller and Wagon Parade, as well as the Pageant, both were rained out.
5k Run Winners
Men's: Gage Smith
Gage Smith was the overall winner of the Jones-Imboden 5K with a time of 18:27.2.
Women's: Emily Gola
Emily Gola was 1st place in the Women's Division with a time of 26:44.5
Honey Taste Test
First and Second Place Winner: Matthew Byrd
(Not Shown) Matthew Byrd entered two samples for the Honey Taste Test and took home both First place and Second place. Matthew also won People's Choice for the Taste Test. Mountaineer Beekeepers stood in for the photo as Matthew was not present.
Third Place: Shanda King
Shanda King won Third Place Overall in the Ephraim Bee Festival Honey Taste Test. Shanda was present to accept her award.
